Role Summary

The Software and Systems Testing Engineer role is focused on ensuring systems and software testing for new vehicle programmes is delivered at the correct pace, quality, and compliance level. The position plays a key part in driving structured testing processes, monitoring performance through KPIs, and supporting continuous improvement across integration and validation activities. Acting as a central link between development and test teams, this role provides clear visibility of overall testing status while reducing delivery risk and defects.

Role & Responsibilities
• Drive adherence to defined testing processes to support consistent delivery across programmes
• Oversee software and systems testing activities in line with programme timing and quality expectations
• Track and report testing performance using KPI dashboards and agreed metrics
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and defects, implementing improvements to optimise testing workflows
• Act as a key interface between development, integration, and test engineering teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Software and Systems Testing Process lifecycle
• Provide clear reporting on testing status, performance, and compliance

Requirements Of The Role
• Strong knowledge of process management and continuous improvement frameworks
• Experience optimising software testing and integration processes within complex environments
• Proficiency in KPI tracking and reporting tools such as JIRA and Tableau
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present complex data sets
• Solid understanding of compliance, governance, and quality standards
• Strong organisational, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
• Ability to influence and engage test engineers across the business within a Software and Systems Testing Engineer environment
