Role Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Manual / CNC Grinder to support the delivery of high-precision, low-volume transmission components used within the motorsport and aerospace sectors. The Manual / CNC Grinder will work within a specialist grinding department, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency across manufactured components.

Role & Responsibilities

• Set, operate, and adjust grinding machinery to produce high precision components as a Manual / CNC Grinder
• Create or edit programmes on Studer S33/Favorit (Fanuc) grinding machines
• Operate Lambert bore grinders using Siemens control systems
• Carry out grinding operations using Jones & Shipman manual grinders
• Operate Kellenberg universal grinding machines (manual)
• Inspect components using precision measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate component manufacture

Requirements of the Role

• Previous experience working as a Manual / CNC Grinder within a precision engineering environment
• Strong knowledge of precision grinding techniques and processes
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good knowledge of grinding wheels, including grades, types, and grinding data
