Role Summary
The D&R PAT Leader role is responsible for enhancing the customer experience through the definition, delivery, and verification of vehicle Durability and Robustness attributes. This is achieved through robust attribute target setting, validation planning, and sign-off using both virtual and physical test methods across the full vehicle programme lifecycle.
Role & Responsibilities
As a D&R PAT Leader, you will:
• Ensure all attribute targets are cascaded, agreed, and accepted across relevant Engineering teams
• Develop and deliver integration and Design Verification (DV) plans to support on-time vehicle sign-off
• Ensure delivery, tracking, and reporting of all test activities in line with agreed DV plans
• Raise clear and concise technical issue reports within 48 hours of issue identification
• Complete all sign-off documentation for agreed programme gateways
• Support delivery of all attribute requirements at each gateway
• Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved
• Define and deliver attribute strategies covering CAR, RLD, rig, and driven DV activities
• Maintain status reporting including road load data, analysis, and load cascade activities
• Work with system, component, and supplier engineers to implement and resolve engineering solutions
• Deliver technical recommendations and reports
• Support and maintain the Automated Issues Management System (AIMS) through to successful resolution
• Capture lessons learnt and feedback to the Programme Attribute Team
• Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Line Manager
Requirements Of The Role
The D&R PAT Leader will demonstrate:
• Broad knowledge of vehicle technologies
• Understanding of Durability and Strength principles, including data collection and analysis
• Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and delivery
• Experience managing complex engineering test activities
• Competence with Microsoft tools including Excel and PowerPoint
• Exposure to CAD visualisation tools such as VisMockUp
• Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross-functional working
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred
