Manual Machinist
Location: Leamington Spa
Hours:  37 hours per week.
Day and Night shift options available

Pay Rate: £22.51 - £28.25 per hour umbrella

Manual Machinist required for a world leading, manufacturing company based in Fareham, paying an umbrella rate of £22.51 per hour on a day shift and £28.25 per hour on a night shift, working 37 hours per week, offering both day and night shifts.

The Manual Machinist role:

• Operating manual lathes, including swaging techniques
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Maintaining machinery and ensuring safe working order
• Quality checking of products
• Additional activities such as deburring
• Keeping to tight deadlines and targets

The ideal Manual Machinist:

• Apprenticeship or qualification within a tool room / Machining environment working as a Machine / Press Operator would be ideal
• Have experience in a Manual Machinist position in a production / tool making / machining environment.
• Have experience in all aspects of manual turning.
• Experience with swaging techniques on a manual lathe would be beneficial
• Ability to read an interpret engineering drawings
• Understanding of Lean principles such as 5s/6s activities
• Has the ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.

Please note, this role is deemed inside of IR35. The Umbrella Pay Rate offered is inclusive of the Assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitments contribution towards Employer Costs.
