As the Gear Cutter CNC Machinist…

You will join the Gear Cutting department focusing on delivering small-batch, high quality transmission components for motorsport and aerospace industries. Operating both Shaping and Hobbing CNC machines, you will work on cutting and shaping key components such as spur gears, helical gears and splines ensuring accuracy, quality and a right first-time philosophy!

We’re keen to speak to Gear Cutter CNC Machinists who are experienced in…

• Interpreting technical drawings and planning route cards to produce components within routed timeframes
• Operating gear manufacturing CNC machines, ideally:
• Gleason GP300 ES Shaping Machine
• Gleason-Pfauter 200 Hobbing Machine
• Liebherr LC20 Hobbing Machine
• Cutting various components using hobs and gear data provided in drawings including:
• Spur gears
• Helical gears
• Splines
• Reading, understanding, and editing CNC programmes, including modifying speeds and feeds as necessary

Flexible Hours:

Benefit from working a Day Shift on a 37.5 hours per week contract with start and finish time flexibility providing the core hours of 8.30am-15.30pm are completed.  

Contract Type:

Join the Gear Cutter CNC Machinist team on an initial 6-month contract with extensions and permanent vacancies possible for those who demonstrate the right skills and attitudes.

Pay Rates:

£17.92 per hour PAYE to be uplifted to be paid via UMBRELLA PAYE payroll model.

Overtime rates available!

Please note, this role is deemed inside of IR35. The final Umbrella PAYE pay rate offered will be inclusive of the Assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitment’s contribution towards Employer Costs.
