Role Summary
We’re currently seeking Electrical Improvers to join our client, a world-leading automotive OEM, across their sites in the Midlands – Solihull & Castle Brom. This role will be responsible for the Electrical installations and modifications on site/facility projects.
Role & Responsibilities of the Electrical Improver
- Electrical installation to drawing
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics
- Installation and modifications of cable trays, trunking and conduits
- Installation and modification of power and data cables
- Wiring of power and control cabinets and associated equipment
Requirements Of the Electrical Improver role
- Jib/ECS/CSCS Cards
- Level 2 and working towards Level 3
- IPAF 3a/3B
- Previous experience of working on industrial electrical installation projects with a production or automotive environment
- Equipped with own comprehensive tool kit for suitable tools for the role
- Ability to work on various jobs on own initiative
- Ability to follow set tasks set by Supervisor/Project Manager
- Experience and wiliness to be paired with an apprentice/electrical mate
- Able to install every type of standard containment used in the industry
- Able to 1st and 2nd an electrical install ready for an electrician to test and power up
- Knowledge of site safety
