Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Composite Laminator to support high-quality automotive composite component production based in Rotherham. This role will involve rotating shifts and requires strong hands-on laminating experience within an automotive or advanced manufacturing environment.

Role & Responsibilities of the Composite Laminator

• Production and laminating of automotive composite components.
• Mould preparation, manufacture, and maintenance.
• Vacuum bagging of components to the required quality standards.
• Operation of mini autoclaves.
• Maintaining the highest quality standards across all manufactured composite components.
• Supporting the Team Leader with work prioritisation and wider production activities, and standing in when required
• Supporting the training and development of other team members.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, orderly, and safe working environment.
• Proactively contributing to process improvements that support quality and efficiency.
• Working to challenging and demanding deadlines and working under minimal supervision

Requirements of the Composite Laminator

• Previous experience as a Composite Laminator within composites, automotive, or manufacturing environments
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive laminating
• Knowledge of composite materials and associated production processes.
• Pre-preg laminating experience.
• Experience in completing consolidation checks.
• Strong understanding of quality standards and quality issues.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals.
• Good knowledge of materials used within composite manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels.
• Has a determined, enthusiastic and proactive approach
• Results-focused and committed to achieving high-quality output.
