We’re seeking an experienced Aircraft Braking & Hydraulic Valve Engineer to join our Engineering team in Ansty, Coventry. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of aircraft braking system valves, working across all phases of the product lifecycle — from initial design through to production support.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Aircraft Braking & Hydraulic Valve Engineer, you’ll:
- Provide mechanical and electrical engineering expertise in the design, testing, maintenance, and improvement of aerospace components.
- Apply knowledge of servo valve design and operation to develop and enhance braking systems.
- Solve complex technical problems using analysis, experience, and engineering judgment.
- Manage project documentation, analyse data, and prepare reports.
- Create Engineering Change Notices covering design improvements, obsolescence, source changes, and corrections.
- Produce customer-required documentation for engineering changes, limited production runs, and production stop orders.
- Communicate technical information clearly across engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Develop environmental test objectives to validate design changes, using analysis or similarity where appropriate.
- Support production and quality teams with technical queries (e.g. drawing interpretation, tear-down reports, non-conformance investigations).
What We’re Looking For
To be successful as an Aircraft Braking & Hydraulic Valve Engineer, you’ll bring:
- A degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering with a working knowledge of electrical engineering.
- A systematic, analytical approach to problem-solving.
- A genuine passion for aerospace engineering.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and international).
