As a Senior Strategic Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting vehicle programmes from concept through to production, ensuring the seamless procurement of critical components while building strong supplier partnerships that drive operational success.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Strategic Buyer:

Lead strategic sourcing activities and commercial negotiations for a diverse range of technical commodities and components

Develop and implement robust procurement strategies aligned to business objectives and programme requirements

Build and manage strong supplier relationships, driving performance across cost, quality, delivery, and service

Identify and deliver cost optimisation and value engineering opportunities while maintaining product quality and performance

Support new vehicle development programmes through proactive supplier engagement and procurement planning

Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and programme teams to ensure technical and commercial objectives are achieved

Manage purchase orders and supplier commitments to support production schedules and key programme milestones

Monitor supplier performance, addressing risks and implementing improvement plans where required

Mitigate commercial and supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and wider supply chain operations
