Payroll and Benefits Lead

Location: Woking

Contract: Inside IR35 | 6-Month Contract

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm (40 hours per week)

Hybrid working – 3 days onsite

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll and Benefits Lead to support global payroll and benefits operations across multiple countries. Working closely with outsourced providers and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure accurate payroll delivery, effective benefits administration, and ongoing process improvements.

Supporting a global workforce, this role plays a key part in maintaining compliance, data accuracy, and operational efficiency. It is ideally suited to an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Payroll and Benefits Lead:

  • Act as the primary internal point of contact for global pay operations across 9 countries
  • Manage end-to-end payroll administration through outsourced providers
  • Collate, validate and submit employee payroll data accurately and on time
  • Review outputs, reports and resolve employee and stakeholder queries
  • Administer employee benefits programmes, including enrolments, changes and leavers
  • Liaise with external benefits providers and support employee benefit enquiries
  • Support annual benefits reviews, renewals and communications
  • Maintain employee data within SAP, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Assist with SuccessFactors transition activities where required
  • Produce pay and benefits reports and support audit activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies
  • Support compliance with employment, pay and benefits regulations across multiple countries

The Ideal Payroll and Benefits Lead:

  • Previous experience within payroll and/or benefits administration
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable managing manual processes and high volumes of data
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines across different countries
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Exposure to global or multi-country payroll environments desirable
  • Experience using SAP (desirable)
  • Exposure to SuccessFactors or similar HR systems
