Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Salary £28,000 per annum, increasing to £31.600 per annum after a successful probationary period

Hours: Monday to Friday – no weekends

The Assembly Operative will be responsible for the assembly and sub-assembly of bespoke vehicle interiors, ensuring all components are fitted to a high standard. Working across multiple build stages, the Assembly Operative will focus on precision assembly, quality finishes, and supporting the overall build process. The Assembly Operative will play a key role in delivering high-quality vehicles by ensuring all assemblies meet specifications and are completed efficiently. This position requires strong attention to detail, hands-on skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Role & Responsibilities of the Assembly Operative

  • Assemble and install interior units, fixtures, and fittings to specification
  • Carry out sub-assembly of components before final vehicle installation
  • Work from the build instructions and technical drawings to complete assemblies accurately
  • Inspect assembled components and interiors to ensure quality and fitment standards
  • Carry out adjustments, refinements, and finishing tasks as required
  • Support the build process across multiple stages of vehicle production
  • Conduct detailed checks of completed assemblies before final installation
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment and ensure tools are kept in good condition

Requirements of the Assembly Operative role

  • Proven experience in assembly or sub-assembly within an automotive or manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on skills with the ability to work with a variety of materials and components
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and build instructions
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
  • Flexible attitude towards work and production demands
