Warehouse and FLT Operative required on a full time, permanent basis in Warwick, benefitting from a salary of £23,000 per annum depending on previous experience.

Hours of Work: Day shift -Full Time (39.75 hours per week)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Goods and Stock Management:

  • To take delivery of incoming goods and supplies
  • To check and inspect goods received to ensure they are of accurate quantity, type and acceptable quality.
  • To verify all goods received against the relevant documentation and pass to the appropriate person
  • To unpack and stack goods in the correct storage location.
  • To assist with the monitoring of stock levels and liaise with other members of staff to ensure this is maintained as required.
  • To correctly pack and label products before they are dispatched, performing final outgoing inspections as required.
  • To ensure all orders are dispatched on time with the corresponding documentation according to company procedures

Moving and Handling:

  • To load and unload lorries, vans and other vehicles as required, ensuring the correct Manual Handling techniques are applied as appropriate.
  • To operate the counterbalance forklift truck as required, ensuring training is kept up. to date as needed.
  • To make deliveries by van to customers as required (occasional or holiday cover only)

Warehouse management:

  • To ensure the warehouse and workshop area is kept clean, tidy, and well organised at all times
  • To carry out any delegated duties and responsibilities involved in ensuring the warehouse complies with Health and Safety regulations
  • To work in a safe manner in accordance with Health and Safety requirements at all times, always ensuring the correct use of personal protective equipment.

General:

It is the responsibility of the employee:

  • To co-ordinate their own annual leave and hours of work in the best interests of the Company, in accordance with the Annual Leave policy and with the approval of the Manager

  • To be responsible for always representing the Company in a professional manner
  • To comply with all Company policies and procedures and undertake any training as required.
