Vehicle Technician

Location: Coventry
£25,000+ per annum DOE (plus bonus)
Hours 8:30-5:30pm Monday-Friday, 1-in-4 Saturdays (Paid extra)


  •      Required to carry out Services, PDI’s, PDC’s and mechanical repairs to a variety of vehicles,
  •      Diagnosing faults and vehicle issues, investigating these issues and ensuring they are resolved in full in a timely manner,
  •      Managing own paperwork, including a daily worksheet and individual Brand specific tick sheets
  •      Ensuring work is completed efficiently and in keeping with the high standards and demands of customers and ensuring industry standards are met at all times,
  •      To interpret technical service information and data from manuals, bulletins and / or computer files and data and implement
  •      Ensure that all Company equipment and tools are kept in a clean, safe condition at all times,
  •      Flexible in your working hours to ensure the workshop is staffed at all times, and prepared to work scheduled Saturdays,
  •      Carrying out other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required,
  •      To abide the sites H&S processes and to keep the workshop areas clean.

Key Skills Required:

  •      Relevant experience in a workshop/service environment is essential,
  •      You will have experience of vehicle diagnostics within a Service environment,
  •      Experience within a dealership environment would be highly beneficial,
  •      You will have experience of service, maintenance, and repair,
  •      Ideally qualified to Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ in Motor Vehicle Studies, Maintenance & Repair or similar,
  •      Able to read, comprehend, interpret, and apply technical instructions,
  •      Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to all levels, both internally and externally
  •      Good problem solving and diagnostic skills,
  •      Have a strong focus on quality and attention to detail,
  •      Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised to achieve high standards,
  •      Able to work with others and a team player,
  •      Full UK Driving Licence.
