Experienced Vehicle Technician required for a permanent contract in Chipping Warden, benefitting from a salary of £25,000 - £27,000 per annum dependant on experience.

Our client, an experienced car marketplace with an impressive history spanning nearly 70 years, is currently looking for a Vehicle Technician with experience working on Japanese vehicles. The ideal candidate would be confident with full vehicle servicing, warranty repairs, electrical upgrades and diagnostics. Carrying out diagnostic investigations on reported vehicle defects using laptops, multi-meters and other test equipment to identify faults will also be required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret technical service information and data from manuals, bulletins and / or computer files and implement
  • Identify and complete recall work from manufacturer systems and / or manuals
  • Detect and diagnose any additional faults for further repair
  • Complete warranty repairs as required
  • Undertake onboard infotainment upgrades (e.g. Sat Nav)
  • Fully prepare as per customer vehicle (e.g. windows reset, radio stations set etc)
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with manufacturer and industry guidelines
  • Carry out all repairs according to best practice procedures and within the estimates repair times
  • Ensure that all vehicles comply with safety standards when complete
  • Undertake all other tasks and activities as requested by the Manager

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Team 21 certification - Tech 203 is essential, Tech 204 is desirable
  • Level 2 NVQ or City and Guilds desirable
  • Can interpret and implement technical instruction data
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritise 
  • Great team player, willing to help others 
  • Excellent attention to detail and desire to produce high quality work 
  • Logical and thorough in approach 

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week (Potential overtime as per business needs)

Shifts:

Monday – Friday: 7.00am – 5.00pm
