Vehicle Integration Engineer

Contract length: 1 year (Maternity Cover)

Hours: 40

Pay Rate: £29.50 D.O.E.

We are seeking an experienced and capable Vehicle Integration Engineer to join the Vehicle Engineering team of a well-regarded automotive manufacturer in at their site in Gaydon.

As a Vehicle Integration Engineer, you'll work with all component and attribute teams, leading competitor benchmarking, target setting, customer attribute balance and validation, and assisting the Vehicle Evaluation Team in creating the driving and ownership experience. You'll make sure that the car's virtual and physical builds and tests are done on time, and that any technical concerns are rectified quickly.

Experience Required

• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Technical knowledge and experience of key vehicle systems and whole Vehicle Engineering.
• Proven ability to work with technical data and combine business skills with technical decision-making.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Leading cross functional geometric integration reviews.
• Lead functional systems integration and compatibility systems reviews to deliver customer features to quality (Systems Integration).
• Lead coordination of engineering activities to overcome incompatibles to meet programme milestones (via VIT, ESO and Panel Chart processes)
• Supporting NMLR and LMM processes.
• Work on the successful resolution of technical conflicts to achieve the overall product assumptions & attributes in line with the target costs, weight, commonality and variety
• Organisation of driven and non-driven attribute demonstrations to Vehicle Evaluation Team (VET) and senior management

Preferred Experience

• Prescient in Microsoft office
• Experience with PCDS Gateways
• Scorecard reporting cadence maintained
• Can rapidly interpret AIMS, RMDV, GRADE, R+R and Deviation data
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience
