Skilled Machinist – Leamington Spa

Immediate start.

6-month fixed term contract

Day shift

£13.63 per hour + overtime

Bonus Scheme would start after 3 months of employment, paid every quarter based on Divisional performance.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Machinist to join an international engineering brand in Leamington Spa.

The experienced Machinist will work with the manufacturing team to provide the required skill and experience in a variety of machine operations and settings.

Machinist Job Responsibilities:

  • Machine parts to the required tolerances and to a high standard
  • Carry out activities such as Broaching, Rolling On, De-burring, Lapping, Polishing, Lathe operations
  • Complete all work within specified manufacturing timescales
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings
  • Support Premier Customer Service by ensuring the manufacturing of top-quality products, delivered on time to the customer’s request
  • Participate in cross training to support flexibility within the manufacturing team
  • Participate in lean and HPT activities
  • Undertake other tasks as required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Time served apprenticeship (or equivalent) within a relevant discipline
  • Experience of machine operations and settings
  • Experience of engineering manufacturing principles
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Willingness to undertake lean and HPT training
  • Good communicator and organisational skills
