Our client is a multiple award-winning Manufacturer who is at the forefront of Electric Vehicle technology and dedicated to a sustainable future. It is a very exciting time to join this growing company who are looking for someone to be part of their exciting journey.  

As a Service Centre Supervisor, you will coordinate field issues, oversee on-site operations, and liaise with Field Service Engineers (FSEs). Your role will focus on enhancing key metrics such as lost mileage, Vehicle Off Road (VOR), and campaign completion rates. You will allocate work to service engineers, ensuring repairs meet service level agreements and KPIs, and promote a ‘right first time’ ethos within the service centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the SCM with daily operations of the service centre and act as the manager in their absence.
  • Monitor and manage repairs, campaigns, and parts supply.
  • Mentor Field Service Engineers and maintain effective communication with all employees.
  • Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and cost-effectively, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Provide accurate repair estimates to customers and insurance companies for accident damage repairs.
  • Handle customer complaints and escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely processing of job cards and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety guidelines and support regular fire alarm tests.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Service Centre Supervisor role or similar within the automotive, bus, truck or commercial vehicle industry.
  • PSV and/or HGV engineering experience would be ideal, including PSV maintenance, inspection, fault diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels and customers.
  • Full UK driving licence and knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • EV or Hybrid competence, including HV training in relation to High Voltage DC electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP inventory system.
  • PSV or HGV driving licence would be ideal.
  • IOSH qualified would be ideal but not essential
