Apex Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer / Automotive Quality Engineer to join a specialist automotive manufacturer, based in Chelmsley Wood.

Role: Senior Quality Engineer - Automotive Quality Engineer

Location: Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham

Contract Type: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer / Automotive Quality Engineer to operate within an advanced manufacturing/automotive environment.

Due to the growth of this company, a first-choice supplier for prototype and low to medium volume production for high end Automotive OEMs, requires a driven Senior Quality Engineer to support the team in their continued development of luxury components.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that customer, internal production and supplier quality targets are met
  • You will be working to IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001 standards,
  • Deliver the customer, production and supplier quality targets for the business
  • Take ownership of the root cause and corrective action process for any quality issue
  • Production control plan development and continuous improvement
  • Hands-on management and development of the Quality team
  • Partner with the cross functional teams in ensuring that the quality deliverables are met through the new product introduction process
  • Complete quality reports such as PPAP, PSW, PPIR & IMDS,

Requirements:

  • Experience within the Automotive industry working to IATF 16949:2016 standards,
  • Experience carrying out a similar role within an advanced manufacturing facility,
  • Educated to HND/Degree level or equivalent experience
  • Must be driven and dynamic in order to drive the quality department forward
  • Experience of overseeing workloads and management,
  • Excellent PPAP/PSW/PPIR/IMDS understanding

Desirables:

  • You will ideally be IOSH qualified,
  • Experience of ISO 9001 and TS 16949 would be beneficial,
  • Have experience within Health & Safety,
