Our client is a dynamic and innovative company, committed to transforming the landscape of commercial vehicle solutions. With a focus on sustainability and cutting-edge technology, they are at the forefront of the Electrical Vehicle (EV) industry. They are now seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to join the Executive Leadership Team.

Position Overview:

As the Sales Director for the UK and expanding into European Regions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's Commercial Strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the sales department, drive customer relations, and contribute to the overall growth of the organisation. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic sales planning, team leadership, and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company's Commercial Strategy, focusing on Strategic Sales and embedding effective sales and marketing practices.
  • Lead and motivate the sales department to achieve sales targets, increase market share, and drive sales revenue.
  • Design and implement programs to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee sales team growth and create training programs for new and existing employees in the sales department.
  • Understand and communicate the organisation's value propositions through proposals and presentations.
  • Monitor market trends, supply and demand, and competitor offers to adjust selling prices and forecast annual sales quotas.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial leadership team to develop a pipeline of multinational clients and identify strategic partners.
  • Drive the development and implementation of global business development strategies.
  • Develop contacts, networks, and relationships in customer organisations to position the company as the first-choice commercial vehicle provider.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Strategy function to analyse customer needs, volume potential, and sales campaigns.
  • Implement adoption strategies of EV platforms in line with group strategies.
  • Act as a key strategic advisor and trusted partner to the CEO.

Requirements of the Sales Director:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably within the commercial vehicle, automotive or EV industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing practices with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate sales teams to drive business growth.
  • Excellent strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing business development strategies.
  • Knowledge of the Electrical Vehicle industry is advantageous.
