Resident Scheme Manager

Stratford-Upon-Avon

£26,000 per annum plus on-site accommodation of a three-bedroom house inclusive of rates and charges (council tax not included)

35 hour week across 5 days (occasional weekend work when needed)

We are currently recruiting for a live in Resident Scheme Manager at our sheltered housing scheme in Stratford-Upon-Avon. We are a sheltered housing scheme, which consists of 45 one-bedroom flats, designed for independent living for people over 55 years of age and all residents have their own self-contained flats.

As the Resident Scheme Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the management of the housing scheme and the resident’s wellbeing and safety.

Some of these responsibilities would include:

  • Overarching responsibility of health and safety within the building and its fixtures, fittings and equipment, supervision of cleaning, and use of the building
  • Administration duties such as record keeping, stock control, visitor logs and more
  • Staff and onsite contractor supervision

  • To provide a support service to the Tenants at the scheme.
  • To provide moral and emotional support.
  • To maintain and improve tenants’ level of functioning.
  • To encourage tenants to live as independently as possible, to enhance their quality of life.
  • To promote, protect and respect individual tenant’s rights to privacy, dignity, self-determination and choice.

Requirements of the Resident Scheme Manager:

  • Experience providing care management services in a similar environment
  • Confident working with internal teams and external agencies and a track record of successful staff management.
  • Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of key issues affecting the elderly and the ability to keep up to date with relative legislation and emerging Government agenda for older people. Understanding of promoting equality in service delivery.
  • Experience with Microsoft packages (outlook, word, excel)
  • Ideally you will be qualified in first aid
  • Fire safety training / qualifications would be beneficial
