Permanent Pattern Maker required for a composite tooling design and manufacturing specialist based in Halesowen paying an annual salary in the region of £30,700 PA.

An ever-growing specialist in the design and manufacture of composite tooling, are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Pattern Maker to join their team based in Halesowen. In return for their hard work, the successful Pattern Maker can benefit from a salary in the region of £30,700 per annum plus Overtime and the security of a permanent position within a large, growing company.

Due to the growth and support of their larger group, our client has jumped to the forefront of the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Nuclear and Rail sectors as a single supplier to provide prototyping, tooling required for production and the jigs and assemblies required to service them.

With a key focus on the design and manufacturing of tooling coupled with the incorporation of all associated production and assembly tooling, handling and transportation equipment, automation and test facilities they are a lead supplier of expertise into a variety of industries.

The experienced Pattern Maker will be a vital member of the team in order to produce jigs and fixtures as well as components for multiple industries, growing a personal portfolio across numerous sectors.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Pattern Maker:

  • Working from castings and drawings in order to produce jigs and fixtures
  • Designing and creating patterns from scratch
  • Re-furbishing and repairing existing patterns for use in producing components
  • Working with a variety of metals and composite materials
  • Working to tight tolerances to ensure accurate production
  • Experience within the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Nuclear or Rail sectors would be beneficial

Working hours:

Basic 37 hours per week

Day shift: 7.30am – 4.00pm Monday – Thursday; 7.30am – 12.30pm Friday

Twilight shifts available

Overtime available on weekdays paying time and a third, with limited weekend overtime available at time and a half in busy periods.
