A well-established Accident Repair company are seeking a Panel Beater to join their team in Bedford on a permanent basis, paying £35,000 - £55,000 per annum dependant on experience.

Our client is a leading Accident Repair company working alongside insurance companies to ensure customer vehicles receive the highest quality repairs, using approved parts, tools and equipment in order to restore vehicles to pre-accident conditions.

They are currently seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join their existing team of Bodyshop professionals working to strict manufacturer standards. The successful Panel Beater will be responsible for accident and damage repairs cause to vehicle structures and body panels as well as cosmetic repairs required including dent removals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PANEL BEATER:

  • Accident and damage repair to vehicle structure and body panels
  • Restoring and repairing body panels and chassis
  • Stripping and fitting new panels
  • Removing dents in panels
  • Working with aluminium and stainless steel
  • Traditional and modern welding techniques including MIG & TIG
  • Application of body fillers
  • Growing gaps and shaping panels
  • Profiling panels
  • Responsible for ensuring work is carried out to a high standard of quality and to manufacturer standards
  • Keeping records of all work carried out

THE IDEAL PANEL BEATER:

  • Previous experience in a Panel Beating role is essential
  • City and Guilds or NVQ or equivalent in a relative automotive discipline is desirable
  • MIG and TIG welding experience is essential
  • Previous experience working with Aluminium OR Steel is essential
  • Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence
  • Flexible attitude towards working hours and overtime

WORKING HOURS:

Approx. 40 hours per week 

Hours: Monday to Friday: 7.30am to 5pm

Pay rate: £35 - £55K dependant on experience and qualifications
