A well-established Accident Repair company are seeking a Paint Sprayer to join their team in Bedford on a permanent basis, paying £30,000 per annum dependant on experience.

Our client is a leading Accident Repair company working alongside insurance companies to ensure customer vehicles receive the highest quality repairs, using approved parts, tools and equipment in order to restore vehicles to pre-accident conditions.

They are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Paint Sprayer to join their team in Bedford to support in the repair of accident damaged vehicles. The successful Paint Sprayer will be skilled in panel preparation to ensure a smooth finish as well as colour matching and mixing and spray painting to achieve pre-accident finish.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PAINT SPRAYER:

  • Preparation of panels for painting
  • Colour matching and mixing of paints
  • Spray painting using various spraying techniques
  • Application of basecoats, primers, lacquers and finishes
  • Flattening and polishing using specialist methods
  • Experience of working with a variety of paints including;
    • Solid and two-pack paints
    • Metallic paints
    • Pearlescent paints
    • Matte finishes
    • Special paints
    • Completion of blow-ins
    • Working to strict health and safety standards using the required PPE

THE IDEAL PAINT SPRAYER:

  • A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in an automotive/body discipline completed as part of an apprenticeship is essential
  • At least 5 years high-end bodywork experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of H&S, C.O.S.H and environmental procedures
  • Flexibility in working hours and location as per business needs
  • FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED (6 points maximum)

WORKING HOURS:

Approx. 40 hours per week 

Hours: Monday to Friday: 7.30am to 5pm

Pay rate: £30K dependant on experience and qualifications
