Position Description - Mobile Measurement Technician:
Join our Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) team, where we play a crucial role in bringing our world-class vehicles to life. As a Mobile Measurement Technician within the Dimensional Systems team, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the highest quality of exterior and interior vehicle components. Your responsibilities will include conducting dimensional variation analysis (DVA), implementing measurement and metrology strategies, and supporting the quality maturation process for new vehicle launches.

Key Responsibilities of Mobile Measurement Technician:
- Perform mobile inspections using advanced measurement tools such as GOM, Articulated Arms, Laser Trackers, and Creaform systems.
- Generate high-quality inspection reports with a professional standard.
- Work with Body-in-White (BIW) and Trim & Final (T&F) parts and assemblies to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Utilize software such as GOM & Polyworks for data analysis and reporting.
- Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure precise measurements.
- Develop and enhance processes to boost departmental performance.
- Collaborate with various JLR sites/locations as required.
Skills and Experience Required for Mobile Measurement Technician:
- Strong mobile inspection skills and a deep understanding of measurement principles.
- Competency in the operation of GOM, Articulated Arms, Laser Trackers, and Creaform systems or similar.
- Proficient in software tools like GOM & Polyworks.
- Strong understanding of alignments and ability to handle BIW & T&F components.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
- Full driving license.
