Maintenance Technicians / Mechatronics Technicians required to join a fast paced department in Solihull.

They are currently seeking to recruit a number of experienced Maintenance Technicians / Mechatronics Technicians to join their team based in Solihull. This role is offered on a long-term contract basis, initially 6 months however this will roll onto 12 months plus permanent opportunities available for the right candidates.

The Ideal Maintenance Technician / Mechatronics Technician:

• Working within Reliability department in the BIW Body shop
• First responders to issues and breakdowns
• Corrective repairs on equipment
• Highly automated department
• Ideally have experience in Mechatronics and electrical and mechanical experience
• Robotics experience is desirable but not essential
• Supporting Operational maintenance team
• Must be a good problem solver
• Be a logical thinker
• Inquisitive about failures
• Have knowledge and practical understanding of H&S, C.O.S.H and environmental procedures.
• Have a flexible attitude towards working hours as overtime may be required.

WORKING HOURS: 36/37 hours per week dependant on shift – Rotating Shift Pattern as below.

Rotating Shift Pattern – 4 shift rotation - Mornings > Weekends > Week Off > Nights > Afternoons

Shift 1: Monday to Thursday 6.00am – 1.30 pm & Friday 6.00am – 11.00am

Shift 2: Monday to Thursday 1.30pm – 9pm & Friday 10.45am – 15.45pm

Nights: Monday – Thursday 9pm – 6.00am

Weekend shifts:

Saturday and Sunday 6am – 6pm

Pay:

Shift: £35.97 per hour

Nights: £41.10 per hour

Overtime Rates apply for Saturday and Sunday.

THIS ROLE IS DEEMED INSIDE OF IR35.
