An experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Leader required in Leamington Spa benefitting from a salary of £25,000 to £30,000, dependant on experience.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Leader to join an international engineering brand in Leamington Spa. The Maintenance Leader will need to be multiskilled having hands on experience of large machinery, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of both pneumatics and hydraulics along with being a trained electrician to the 17th edition would be ideal.

The Maintenance Leader will work with the maintenance team on the day to day requirement’s and activities for the facility incorporating safety, operation support and production. Supporting process improvements that optimize team work to achieve targets, quality levels and premier customers

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the maintenance function at the Warwick location
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and company EHS processes
  • Maintaining records and factual evidence of equipment performance
  • Creating maintenance procedures
  • Deputise for the facility manager
  • Leadership of Maintenance personnel
  • Managing stocks of supplies and equipment
  • Conduct fault diagnostics and repair type work
  • Produce reports
  • Conduct preventative inspections  
  • Interpret engineering drawings, test procedures and quality processes
  • Planning and undertake schedule maintenance
  • Respond to breakdown
  • Repair equipment both planned and unplanned
  • Supervising of technical staff and contractors
  • Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings
  • Managing budgets
  • Liaise with engineering and manufacturing to ensure production can be maintained
  • Support and participate in Health and Safety activities
  • Develop and implement Lean manufacturing improvements
  • Carry out cross training of personnel to support flexibility of employees
  • Promote and engage in HPT to drive a culture of empowerment within the business, both in training and team work

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Degree level plant management or minimum of 5 years’ experience in Maintenance and Facility operations
  • An ability to work well under pressure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical knowledge of hydraulic equipment and Hydraulic test rigs
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Efficiency and organisation
  • Teamworking skills
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Willingness to undertake Lean and HPT training
  • Carry out any tasks that are required by the Business Unit

Working Hours

Mon-Thurs        8.00am – 4.30pm (30 minutes lunch)

Fri                    8.00am – 1.00pm
