Maintenance Engineer required to join a well-established company based in Coventry on a permanent basis.

Our client is an expert in their field as a manufacturer and supplier of specialist components working across a variety of industries. With specialist teams on site allowing, design, development, testing, manufacturing, and supplying of their components.

The Maintenance Engineer will join an existing Team to support the Production and Maintenance Managers with the repair and maintenance of their plant equipment, tools and processes to keep their manufacturing processes running smoothly. You will be required to be reactive whilst also taking part in preventative maintenance.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will benefit from a permanent opportunity based in Coventry working on rotating shifts of 37.5 hours per week.

The duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

     Repair and maintenance of Plant equipment, tools and processes.

     Preventative maintenance, including servicing, inspection, testing and cleaning.

     Responding to machine breakdowns.

     Fault diagnosis

     Liaising with suppliers and other maintenance or technical support teams.

     Ongoing compliance and implementation of Quality, health & safety and Environmental legislation where required.

The ideal Maintenance Engineer:

     Experience within a manufacturing / Engineering environment as a Maintenance Engineer or similar.

     An understanding and experience of electrical, Pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems is beneficial.

     Must be able to read and interpret Electrical / Mechanical drawings.

     Previous experience working on presses (including power press) and bespoke machines.

     Knowledge / experience of the automotive or aerospace industry would be advantageous.

     Fault finding skills and good attention to detail is essential.
