Our client are a leading accident repair specialist who are approved accident repair centre for vehicle paint and body damage. They provide professional accident damage repair services for all makes & models, for both large commercial fleets and individuals policy holders alike.

JOB PROFILE

The role will be varied and challenging, requiring a broad base of vehicle skills including mechanical, electrical, body and trim. The successful candidates will be involved in routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs to customers vehicles.

The department is outward facing and the successful candidate on occasion may have to interact with customers and will be expected to be an ambassador for the company at all times

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately and skilfully undertake the removal and replacement of Mechanical, Electrical and Trim items on motor vehicles
  • Fulfil all tasks to the customer’s complete satisfaction
  • Detect and diagnose any additional faults for further repair
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer and industry guidelines
  • Carry out all repairs according to best practice procedures.
  • Meeting acceptable safety and quality standards
  • Interpret and implement technical instruction data
  • Ensure alignment equipment is used accurately on all repairs
  • Complete assigned jobs within the estimated repair times
  • Safeguard the customer’s vehicle and its contents while in the workshop
  • Report on the job card all faults or defects detected while working on the vehicle
  • Report any additional damage found when stripping the vehicle directly to the Estimator/ Foreman
  • Report accurately and correctly all components, materials, consumables and hours used on each vehicle repair, keeping wastage of all materials and consumables to the minimum and placing orders for replacement parts Keep work area clean, tidy and free from hazards


THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL IDEALLY:

  • A whole vehicle knowledge of servicing, maintenance, electrical and trim work is essential for this role.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position is required
  • Must be capable and qualified to drive
  • Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence,
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of H&S, C.O.S.H and environmental procedures
  • Candidates will be capable of ensuring that all documentation meets company and legislative requirements
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team, to achieve deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Flexible attitude towards working hours
