About the Role:
As the Inventory Controller, you’ll join in a hands-on role working with the used parts department to log and store parts and components removed from donor vehicles. You’ll be responsible for the meticulous maintenance of the used parts department, ensuring accurate and efficient logging of various parts and components, supporting in the cleaning of parts whilst also accurately moving parts between the department, the logistic stores team and external suppliers. You’ll become an integral part of a team that’s committed to precision and organised handling of every vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Inventory Controller, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of the used parts department. Your duties will include:
Inventory Management:
- Organising, cataloguing, and maintaining accurate records of used automotive parts inventory.
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring the availability of critical components to meet restoration schedules.
- Implementing systems to track inventory movements and minimise discrepancies.
Quality Control:
- Inspecting incoming parts for quality, authenticity, and usability, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Properly storing and preserving parts to avoid damage or deterioration.
- Supporting in cleaning parts removed from donor vehicles.
Internal Team and Supplier Coordination:
- Preparing and packaging parts for internal movement into Stores or external dispatch to Suppliers.
- Collaborating with the wider teams to ensure parts are accurately stored and logged.
Process Improvement:
- Identifying opportunities to enhance inventory management systems and processes.
- Implementing best practices to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Team Collaboration:
- Working closely with strip down technicians, and the broader team to ensure parts availability aligns with project timelines.
- Supporting the strip down technicians in the removal of key parts and components when required.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for someone who brings expertise and passion to this hands-on role:
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in an automotive or mechanical environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Familiarity with Excel.
- Knowledge of automotive components and parts (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Hours:
Day Shift: Monday – Thursday: 7.30am – 16.15pm and Friday 7.00am – 15.30pm with the opportunity for weekday and Saturday overtime.
