Internal Sales Representative required to join a global manufacturing organisation based in Leamington Spa on a Permanent basis paying a salary in the region of £30,000 per annum.

Our client is a leading supplier of Power Transmission Components, Material Handling Systems and Industrial Hand Tools with a heritage spanning over 70 years, growing into a worldwide organisation with a focus on service and quality.

They are now seeking to recruit an Internal Sales Representative to join their family-run business based in Leamington Spa on a permanent basis to help convert inbound calls to Sales as well as grow sales leads and develop new business.

In return, the Internal Sales Representative will benefit from a permanent salary in the region of £30,000 per annum as well as an incentive scheme, modern working environment, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and excellent progression opportunities.

We are looking for ambitious, tenacious and personable Internal Sales Representatives who have the ability to grow business relationships and build customer rapport to secure continued business whilst growing sales through word-of-mouth, active targeting and inbound customer management.

Duties and responsibilities of the Internal Sales Representative:

  • Co-ordinate the day-to-day management of customers building strong customer relationships
  • Generate, manage, and convert sales leads following set processes and utilising key systems
  • Identify and achieve profitable sales opportunities
  • Business Development, locating and creating a new customer base
  • Prepare commercial proposal’s (quotations/tenders etc) in line with customer deadlines or within an agreed time frame
  • Receive inbound calls and build effective customer relationships and loyalty to ensure excellent levels of customer service are always provided
  • Understand customer’s business needs and address any issues following up on sales opportunities
  • Actively manage any customer complaints and ensure these are resolved to meet/exceed customer expectations
  • Partner and work closely with key members of the senior team to provide sales support and prospecting opportunities, including data gathering and follow up
  • Proactively prioritise workload in line with the core product, sector, and geography
  • Attend Sales meetings and participate in learning and training opportunities when appropriate to continuously build customer services and sales knowledge
  • Proactively follow up quotations to determine the status of proposal’s and convert quotations to orders
  • Contract-review orders received and communicate contractual requirements to the manufacturing/warehouse division
  • Initiate outgoing customer calls with prospective clients to establish qualified meetings for the external Sales team where required
  • Liaise with the senior team to ensure Key KPI’s and targets are met

The ideal Internal Sales Representative:

  • Strong sales customer service background
  • Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, engineering or distribution sales environment would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to influence and negotiate
  • Ability to build rapport with customers
  • Good telephone skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong team player
  • PC Literate

Working hours

Monday to Thursday: 8.30am to 5.30pm

Friday: 8.30am to 4.30pm
