Infotainment Manager required to join a well-established automotive manufacturer, based in Woking.

Our client is an automotive supercar and hyper-car brand, with a global reputation for producing high performance vehicles. Working with some of the most iconic designs using modern engineering this company is one of a kind and their attention to detail is second to none.

The Infotainment Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of the on-board infotainment solutions. Responsibilities encompass Vehicle Infotainment and Driver Information domain controllers, branded audio partnerships and advanced sound concepts. The team reports to the Head of Infotainment and Connected Services. 

  •      Lead Infotainment team, constituting a mix of internal and external employees.
  •      Work with supplier tier 1 partners to develop on board infotainment products.
  •      Ensure that development process deliverables are completed for relevant gateways for all vehicle programs.
  •      Work with Product Strategy teams to identify and implement strategic partnerships supporting the ES&C strategic vision for infotainment.
  •      Lead the development of advanced proof of concepts for sound and display technologies.
  •      Act as champion for key supplier technical and delivery design reviews.
  •      Monitor the future trends (technology, legislation, safety) for E/E components to guarantee business continuous improvement.
  •      Develop the team member’s skills and experience, encouraging job rotations and exposure to all the activities/workplaces.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience of the Infotainment Manager:

  •      Vast experience in the automotive industry.
  •      Track record of electrical and software system problem solving and automotive product launch.
  •      Extensive experience in component development, test and sign-off processes.
  •      Proven ability to work in a cross functional and multi-cultural teams.
  •      E/E components and processes experience, project management for automotive applications.
  •      Functional safety (e.g. ISO 26262) experience on several projects (software/hardware).  
  •      Adept at supplier partnership management.
  •      Automotive market trends knowledge, experience of business model development (e.g. make or buy).
