Health and Safety Manager   

An exciting opportunity to join a global organisation within the automotive industry as a Health and Safety Manager has arisen.

The Health and Safety Manager role would be offered on a full-time permanent basis and benefits from a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, dependant on experience.

As the Health and Safety Manager, you will be leading the management of Health and Safety systems across two sites in Warwick and one in Buckingham ensuring to meet local, corporate legislation and applicable industry standards.


  • Manage and continuously improve the Health & Safety Management System to ensure that it conforms to the Regulatory requirements.
  • Report on the performance of the Health & Safety Management System, including safety performance to the management team.
  • Ensure the Health & Safety policy, procedures and work instructions are implemented.
  • Ensure that the integrity of the H&S Management System is maintained when changes to the H&S Management System are planned and implemented.
  • Lead the site H&S Management System internal and corporate audit process.
  • Comply with the Management System Management processes.
  • Set site internal Safety objectives and related trainings.
  • Monitor the requirements to the business including legal safety requirements and ensure compliance.
  • To ensure the efficient running of the office facilities and provide an excellent level of service in a professional working environment
  • Management of all hard and soft Facilities services including implementing and reviewing maintenance contracts where required
  • Managing the office space, layout changes and desk moves in conjunction with IT
  • Overseeing facilities projects, upgrades and works, office moves etc
  • Responsible for ensuring that the sites are compliant with legal, regulatory and corporate requirements in relation to the Environment; this includes waste management.
  • Ensuring facilities compliance with environmental, health & safety standards
  • Stop any activity which may have a detrimental impact to the Health & Safety.


  • IOSH Manage Safely, NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Educated to a minimum of degree level (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline is desirable
  • Experience in Automotive / workshop / offices
  • Trained to relevant Health and Safety standards
  • Good understanding of general Health and Safety requirements
  • Ability to perform Risk Assessments
  • Good knowledge of site functions and areas
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good IT knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project etc.
  • Ability to work with the Commercial Vehicle product, high pressure fluid injection and development teams.
