Graduate / Junior Mechanical Engineer required to join a leading Automotive OEM based in Gaydon on an initial contracting period paying £24.50 per hour.

They are currently seeking to recruit a Graduate / Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team based in Gaydon. This role is offered on an initial contracting basis with permanent opportunities available to the right candidate.
As a Graduate / Junior Mechanical Engineer you will use your technical knowledge and ability to design for manufacture suspension components, ideally cast, forged and pressed components alongside some plastic moulding. With a key focus on Automotive Engineering product creation and delivery the successful candidate will have strong knowledge of change control, product definition and change management processes.
The ideal Graduate / Junior Mechanical Engineer will be degree educated in a relevant Mechanical based engineering discipline (or equivalent) with practical understanding within engineering or programme departments. Experience using PLM and CAD software is essential (ideally Dassult 3D), as well as Enovia / Catia V6 2021. Graduate / Junior Engineers with knowledge of Mechanical Engineering within a Suspension discipline are encouraged to apply.

The ideal Graduate / Junior Mechanical Engineer:
- Hold a Mechanical-based Engineering degree educated (or equivalent)
- Has knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes
- Experience of managing resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment
- Previous experience within engineering or programme planning departments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills
- Working experience with PLM and CAD software, preferably the Dassult 3D
- Experience in Enovia / Catia V6 2021 platforms

Working hours: 40 hours per week
This role is currently offered as a Hybrid working position with 3 days in Gaydon and 2 days worked remotely. The successful Graduate / Junior Mechanical Engineer will be required to work on-site full-time during the training period.
