About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated EDS Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) for cutting-edge vehicles. This position involves collaborating across multiple business functions to ensure cost, weight, quality, and performance targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering vehicle EDS solutions in line with technical and design requirements.
  • Identifying key EDS standards and maintaining VEPS trackers.
  • Setting up and managing RMDV for EDS development.
  • Supporting the end-to-end delivery of the EDS commodity, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Special Vehicles, and external suppliers.
  • Managing cost, weight, and functional performance of EDS components.

Skills Required

  • Strong technical expertise in EDS design and development.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and adaptability to company-specific systems.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to present confidently to diverse audiences.
  • Self-starter mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Experience Required

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and knowledge of system validation processes.
  • Familiarity with change control and product definition processes.
  • Background in automotive engineering design, development, and delivery.
  • Previous knowledge of systems such as WERS, AIMS, RMDV, and ECRs (training can be provided).

Education

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
