This opportunity is to work as a Chassis Integration Engineer for a world leading automotive manufacturer of prestige motor vehicles at their site in Kenilworth

 

Chassis Integration Engineer Duties:

  •      Multi Body Systems (MBS) analysis, vehicle modelling and simulation within Simpack. Including:
  •      Assess axle performance against System Design Specification targets (SPMM, SDS)
  •      Run Axle Error state simulation analyses e.g.  Shimmy and Pull Drift Performance (Axle Quality Analysis)
  •      Generate vehicle Design Load Cases for use in component structural analysis (DLCs)
  •      Simulate extreme vehicle load cases and develop axle parameters to manage vehicle loads
  •      Develop Axle parameters to deliver vehicle targets and cascade suspension component level targets that will deliver vehicle attribute requirements
  •      Liaise with the Core CSI Team to ensure latest learning and working process are being followed
  •      Work with wider SVO Team to ensure all SVO programs are supported and SVO specific program content is captured

 

Chassis Integration Engineer Essential Skills

  •      Previous experience and background in solving complex technical issues and challenges
  •      Previous experience in Assessing and developing Axle systems to deliver vehicle level performance targets using virtual simulation tools
  •      Strong practitioner of Simpack and Multi Body Systems analysis
  •      Proven ability to understand, interpret and clearly communicate technical information
  •      Engineering Degree preferred

 

Chassis Integration Engineer Desirable Skills:

  •      Previous experience within product engineering delivery departments
  •      Good understanding of axle K&C (Kinematics and Compliance) data and its relevance to vehicle attributes
  •      Strong practitioner of Matlab and other CAE software
  •      Knowledge of automotive vehicle testing (Driven and Rig test)
  •      Coding/Scripting experience in Excel VBA, Python etc
