Buyer required on a full time, permanent basis in Leamington Spa, benefitting from a salary of £35,000 per annum.
Our client, a large, well-established manufacturing company that specialises in the production and delivery of cooking appliances, interior furnishings, and accessories, based in Leamington Spa.
They are currently seeking a Buyer to join their existing team on a permanent basis in Leamington Spa, offering a salary of £35,000 per annum depending on previous experience.
As the Buyer, you will join a growing procurement team, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager and working closely with other departments, the Buyer will play a key role within the procurement team.
Buyer duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting the Supply Chain function in delivering the most effective procurement strategy
- Managing relationships with suppliers and reporting supplier KPI’s
- Liaising with suppliers to manage and expedite orders
- Liaising heavily with various stakeholders - both internal and external to ensure the availability of materials for production
- Sourcing of MRO materials for production
- Mitigating material price increase as well as shortage risks;
- Assisting the Supplier Quality Engineer to register Quality Detects for Supplier Engagement
- Ability to Identify Cost Reduction opportunity and see it through to implementation
- Responsible for third party branded product’s NPI
- Support NPI Project sourcing, supplier onboarding, SLA & logistic agreement
Ideal experience required for the Buyer:
- Have ERP/MRP knowledge and experience
- Have at least 3 year purchasing experience preferably within manufacturing
- Manufacturing or Engineering experience would be advantageous but not essential
- Be self-motivated, determined and be driven to develop within procurement
- Be able to work to deadlines
- CIPS would be advantageous but not essential
- Familiar with NPI / Engineering Change Control Process
- Be able to work to deadlines
- Have at least 3-years commodity purchasing experience preferably within appliance or automotive manufacturing
- In depth procurement knowledge on any of the following commodity will be advantage:
- Wiring Harness
- Cast Iron
- Aluminium Die Cast
- Injection Mould Chrome Plating Control Knob , Handle
- Cardboard & Polystyrene Packaging, Timber Pallet
WORKING HOURS:
Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 16:30pm
Friday 7.30am - 12:00am
