This is your opportunity to join a leading product finishing specialist in Peterborough paying £35,000 - £38,000 per annum (D.O.E) (+ attractive bonus) for a 40-hour week on a permanent basis.

We have an incredible prospect for an ambitious Business Development Manager to excel within a leading specialist of product finishing, based in Peterborough. Using state of the art techniques and a flawless focus on detail, they are renowned for transforming ordinary products and surfaces into a masterpiece!

The successful business development manager will be evolving and executing strategic sales plans to expand the company’s customer base and reinforce its presence within the product finishing industry. The business development manager will need the tenacity to spearhead the companies drive to become market leader and incorporate their own knowledge and understanding of trends and key demographics to achieve this.

The company focuses on architectural installations, sculptures, furniture designers, and engineering equipment to diversify the projects and services they can provide. Ideally, the business development manager will have worked in a similar role for a minimum of 5 years and be looking to take the next step in their career. They must be able to work independently and deliver on challenging targets. A passion for innovation is what will drive success in this role.

Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve planned sales goals, track, and create comprehensive reports to illustrate this.
  • Analyse market trends, and implement appropriate strategies to capitalise, and top competitors.
  • Forecast and develop annual sales quotas for services and projects.
  • Estimate sales volume and profit for existing and new contracts.
  • Meet Monthly KPI’s and deliver agreed sales programmes to a high professional standard.
  • Generate leads through aid of marketing.
  • Manage and maintain CRM system.
  • Maintain continuous professional development, reviewing professional publications, educational workshops and establishing personal networks.
  • Connect with customers, understanding what the ideal customer looks like andwhy they should use your company. Achieving personal and company goals through this.
  • Meet with customers to gauge evolving needs and enhance quality of service.
  • Provide reports as needed.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience.
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Experience in customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
