If you are an experienced Auto Electrician, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a leading OEM based in Coventry on an initial 6-month contracting basis.

Key Responsibilities as an Auto Electrician:
High Voltage Systems Expertise
- Work safely and effectively with high-voltage systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on high-voltage electrical components, including batteries, inverters, and charging systems.
12-Volt Electrical System Diagnostics
- Conduct diagnostics on 12-volt vehicle electrical systems, identifying faults and implementing corrective measures.
- Test, repair, and replace 12-volt components, such as batteries, alternators, starter motors, and wiring.
Fault Tracing and Resolution
- Trace electrical faults using specialised diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Analyse fault codes and symptoms to determine the underlying issues and recommend or perform necessary repairs.
Door Wiring
- Install, repair, and maintain door wiring systems, including power windows, locks, and mirrors.
- Ensure proper functionality of door-related electrical components and troubleshoot any wiring issues.
Harness Changes and Rewiring
- Replace or modify wiring harnesses as needed to address faults, upgrades, or new installations.
- Perform rewiring tasks to rectify wiring issues, ensuring proper connections and safe operation.
Root Cause Analysis
- Conduct root cause analysis to determine the origin of electrical faults or failures.
- Develop and implement solutions to prevent recurrence of issues, improving the reliability of the vehicle’s electrical systems.
Wiring Issues Management
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex wiring issues in various parts of the vehicle.
- Utilize technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to guide troubleshooting and repair processes.
Working Hours:
Day Shift: Monday – Thursday: 8.00am – 16.45pm, Friday 8.00am – 2.30pm (39 hours per week)
Contract type: Inside IR35 – Initial 6-month contract with potential of further extension project dependant.
