Assembly Team Leader
An exciting opportunity to join a global organisation within the automotive industry as an Assembly Team Leader has arisen.
The Assembly Team Leader role would be offered on a full-time permanent basis and benefits from a salary of up to £40,000 per annum plus a competitive business-related bonus and company pension.
As the Assembly Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the assembly department including supervising a team of 10-12 employees to continually improve quality, production and delivery performance.
ASSEMBLY TEAM LEADER DUTIES:
- Always ensure full adherence to 5S practices
- Report daily, weekly and monthly KPIs to senior Management
- Ensure all SOP’s (standard operating procedures) are in place and up to date in line with company’s standards
- Provide support and encouragement to the assembly team
- Help to develop a multi-skilled and engaged team
- Apply continuous improvements within the department to increase productivity and reduce costs
- Plan and prioritise the workload of the department in line with the sales requirements
- Ensure the health and safety guidelines are always followed
- Ensure all equipment is routinely maintained.
- Responsible for managing the PDP (Personal Development Plans) of the assembly team
- Ensure all employee relations issues are managed and relevant time management, HR systems are updated
THE IDEAL ASSEMBLY TEAM LEADER:
- Experience working as a Team Leader or Supervisor, managing and coaching team members.
- Experience working within an assembly build environment
- Working knowledge of good health and safety practices
- Proven experience of working towards KPI’s and deadlines within a fast-paced environment
- Strong practical skills
- Effective communication skills; both written and verbally
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to make informed decisions
- Confident in communicating at all levels
- Strong IT stills (Excel, Outlook, Work, PowerPoint)
