An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Maintenance Lead to lead a site-based maintenance function within a busy manufacturing environment covering press, fabrication, assembly, warehouse, and office operations.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Maintenance Lead
- Develop and deliver a maintenance and reliability strategy to improve uptime, asset performance, and equipment effectiveness.
- Own and improve PPM systems, CMMS data, asset registers, work order control, downtime reporting, and maintenance KPIs.
- Lead TPM events, analyse recurring faults, identify losses, and drive targeted reliability improvements.
- Manage contractors, RAMS, permits, competency, safe systems of work, performance, cost, and sign-off.
- Maintain strong engineering governance, including statutory inspections, certification, safety standards, and compliance records.
- Build and manage maintenance budgets, spares strategies, investment proposals, and asset risk plans.
- Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team, identifying skills gaps and implementing training plans.
- Lead root cause analysis for major breakdowns, chronic issues, and equipment-related safety or quality concerns.
The Ideal Senior Maintenance Lead
- Must have proven experience as a Senior Maintenance Lead or similar within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience creating and delivering PPM strategies that improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Confident using MaintMaster or a similar CMMS, including asset data, reporting, scheduling, and work order discipline.
- Experience leading TPM activity and driving continuous improvement.
- You will have strong contractor management experience covering safety, cost, performance, and governance.
- Understanding of maintenance-related compliance and statutory inspection requirements.
- You will be a hands-on, visible leader with strong communication, prioritisation, and team development skills.
- Engineering qualifications, Lean or TPM training, IOSH, or experience in appliance manufacturing or high-mix production environments would be advantageous.
Working hours - 39 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern
- Early shift: 6:00am–2:00pm
- Late Shift: 2:00pm–10:00pm
