Role Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to support the final quality process for luxury road vehicles. Working within a modern automotive environment, you will take responsibility for vehicle quality through final inspection and dynamic assessment activities, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
The Quality Engineer will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to investigate concerns, identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
Role & Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer
- Take responsibility for each vehicle throughout the Final Quality Process, including Dynamic Assessment.
- Experience within fault-finding management
- Plan Dynamic Assessment activities at an automotive proving ground
- Investigate and resolve issues identified during off-site Dynamic Assessment activities.
- Identify root causes and instigate permanent corrective actions.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained throughout vehicle assessment activities.
- Monitor and report against quality-related key performance indicators.
- Promote continuous improvement techniques including Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing) and Measurement System Analysis.
- Demonstrate a collaborative approach to continuous improvement within the department.
Requirements of a Quality Engineer
- Previous experience relevant to a Quality Engineer position within an automotive environment, ideally within low volume manufacturing
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies including Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke and Measurement System Analysis.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and support technical teams during fault resolution
- Proactive and collaborative approach to quality and continuous improvement.
