Contract: Rolling Contract with Permanent Opportunity 

Shift Pattern: Rotating 3 shift pattern  

Pay Rate: £40.12 per hour Umbrella PAYE  

 

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance and Repair Technician to join a leading automotive manufacturing environment supporting production operations by working on various sealant systems. The successful candidate will be responsible formaintaining, repairing, and fault-finding on automated sealant application systems, ensuring that equipment reliability, production efficiency, and quality standards are consistently achieved.  

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance and Repair Technician  

  • Diagnose and repair faults on automated sealant application equipment and associated systems. 

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities. 

  • Perform mechanical inspections and replace components where required. 

  • Support continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency. 

  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with quality procedures. 

  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise equipment downtime. 

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records where required. 

  • Contribute towards maintaining high manufacturing standards across production operations. 

Ideal Candidate 

  • Strong mechanical or maintenance technician background. 

  • Experience within automotive, manufacturing, or production environments. 

  • Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs. 

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

 

Contract Information 

This position is offered on a rolling contract basis, with the opportunity for permanent employment following a successful review period. The successful Maintenance and Repair Technician will work within a busy manufacturing environment supporting production operations. 

 

Working Hours 

Candidates will generally work a rotating three-shift pattern: 

  • Mornings: 06:00 – 13:30 

  • Afternoons: 13:30 – 21:00 

  • Nights: 21:00 – 06:00
