Key Responsibilities of the Compliance Engineer:

  • Conduct and support internal and external audits against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Maintain, develop and continually improve management systems and compliance processes.
  • Monitor relevant legislation, regulations and industry requirements.
  • Provide guidance across the business on legislative and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Maintain compliance records, procedures, documentation and supporting evidence.
  • Identify non-compliance and work collaboratively with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support environmental, health & safety, quality and wider legislative compliance requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable packaging regulations, the WEEE Directive and Batteries Regulations.
  • Monitor legislative changes and assess their potential impact on the organisation.
  • Support compliance assessments, audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel to other sites as required to undertake audits and support consistent compliance standards.
  • Work with internal teams, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are understood and effectively managed.
  • Promote a positive culture of compliance, continuous improvement and high standards.
